Myrtle has a long relationship with human culture. In ancient Mediterranean traditions, the plant was associated with love, marriage and ceremony, while its aromatic foliage made it useful as both an ornamental and fragrant plant.

The S-shaped form gives this particular plant another dimension. Instead of presenting the shrub as a conventional specimen, its natural growth has been trained into a sculptural gesture.

Care

• Light: Bright light is preferred; some partial shade is tolerated.
