The Spider Plant is recognised by its long, arching leaves and the plantlets that emerge on slender runners. These young plants can eventually develop their own roots, making propagation part of the plant's natural growth rather than a separate horticultural process.

This ability has made the Spider Plant a classic indoor plant for generations. Its cascading form is particularly effective when elevated, allowing the runners and young plants to become part of the composition.

• Water: Water when the upper layer of soil has dried; keep the plant moderately moist during active growth.

• Temperature: Keep above approximately 10°C.
• Feeding: Light feeding during spring and summer is generally sufficient.
• Repotting: Divide or repot approximately every 2–3 years when the roots become crowded.
• Propagation: Plantlets can be separated and rooted once sufficiently developed.
• Maintenance: Remove brown leaf tips or finished flowering stems when necessary.
